What is fabric glass?

Fabric glass is a decorative interior glass in which a fabric — a woven textile, a mesh, a natural fibre — is laminated between two panes of glass. The textile becomes the pattern, sealed inside the glass where it cannot fray, mark or be touched. That is the general description of how this kind of glass works across the industry, not a statement of any one build-up.

Textured glass — what does it come in?

Textured glass is glass carrying a three-dimensional surface pattern worked into the face of the pane rather than printed onto it, so that it scatters light and breaks up what is behind it while still passing light through. That, again, is the general description of the category.

ARG’s textured glass comes in multiple different textures, shapes, sizes and thicknesses. [as heard] That is the whole of what has been stated so far, and it was stated as a range rather than as a list — so the individual textures, the shapes they are cut to, the sizes and the thicknesses available are confirmed per enquiry rather than fixed here.

Textured glass is a product in its own right, and buyers ask for it by that name, which is why it carries its own heading. It sits on the same page as fabric glass because the two are chosen the same way: by the surface you want in the room, not by a number on a datasheet.

Where does this kind of glass get used?

Decorative interior glass of this type is generally specified where a partition, a door, a wardrobe shutter, a headboard, a ceiling panel or a wall panel has to do two things at once — pass light through, and stop a clear line of sight. Fabric glass tends to be chosen where the interior wants warmth and material texture; textured glass where it wants pattern and diffusion.
