Interior Glass
Wire mesh glass
Wire mesh glass is decorative interior glass with a metal mesh laminated between two plies of glass, so the mesh sits sealed inside the pane. ARG makes wire mesh glass for partitions, doors and cabinet fronts; the mesh and the build-up are settled per job.

Full technical detail, in question form
What is wire mesh glass?
Wire mesh glass is a laminated decorative glass. A woven or welded metal mesh is laminated between two plies of glass, so the mesh becomes the pattern of the pane and sits sealed inside it, where it cannot rust, snag or be touched. Light passes through the mesh; the view through it is softened and given a grid.
It is not wired safety glass. That older product has a wire net rolled into a single sheet of glass while the glass is made, and it is specified for fire or impact reasons. The glass on this page is chosen for how it looks, and this page makes no fire or impact claim for it.
What ARG offers
Wire mesh glass is one of ARG’s interior glass categories, and ARG’s 2025-26 textured glass catalogue names metal meshes among the ways its glass can be enhanced, alongside fabrics and coloured tints. The meshes available, the thicknesses the panels are made in and the largest panel that can be made are confirmed per enquiry.
Where does wire mesh glass get used?
Decorative laminated glass of this type is generally specified where a partition, a door panel, a cabinet front, a wardrobe shutter or a wall panel should pass light and carry an industrial or metallic texture at the same time. It tends to be chosen where the interior wants a grid, a sheen or an edge of metal without a metal screen in the room.
What ARG needs from you to quote
Final panel sizes in millimetres and the number of panels. The mesh you want, by a reference or a photograph of the look you are matching: a fine mesh reads as a sheen, a coarse one as a grid. Whether the panel is a door, a partition or a cabinet front, because the fixing decides what the glass has to do once it is in. Any cut-outs or holes, with their positions. If none of that is settled yet, send the drawing or the reference image on WhatsApp and we will come back with the build-up.
